The Belluaire Component can be arranged in several configurations, each defined by the relationship between the Reactors and the +Source. These configurations are examples of possible arrangements. They illustrate the relationships and the energetic cost and gain of each. They are not prescriptions, and the numbers given are illustrative only.
The first configuration is the Self Configuration. It is the simplest, and it is conceptual only.
The Self Configuration consists of a single +Source operating alone.
There is no other Reactor in the field.
The Infrasonic Reactor +Source is the only Reactor present.
The Self Configuration establishes the baseline energetic equation.
The +Source consumes one unit of energy as input and its Reactor outputs +0.75 of that unit.
The net is -0.25, representing a loss.
For every unit of energy consumed, the Infrasonic Reactor +Source generates +0.75 of that unit back.
The Self Configuration therefore does not operate as a standalone system.
